Whats the box right below the handlebars (between rider and bars)? I do not recall seeing that on the demo's?

Yes, that is the pad. If I wasn't getting the GT, I would definitely get the pad embroidererd with something good, but like I said in person it didn't bother me. My pic is very much like the pic in the first but in his you can see more of the pad. I tried to frame the picture as much like my viewpoint as possible. I was starting to wonder from other posts if I would have a hard time see the guages. I also wanted to check out the dash area to decide where I am going to mount everything (gps, camcorder, ipod, radio, etc) so I could start planning and buying.

There's also a windshiled bag in my picture just above the guage. There is a conical "niche" there between the guage and the windshield. They also showed me a nice bag the fits the nose cone area. I also think the trunk is pretty nice, its deep and the tool kit is strapped in.

simply amazing, I rode an er last spring (lucky me) and the gauges look sooo damn nice! I like them, actually I LOVE them
