Apex headlight assembly help

Hello all, I made the switch from 2 stroke Skidoo to a 2007 Apex GT... I bought it last spring and got to rid for couple weeks. Now going through it and the guy I bought it from kind of hosed me.... had a small crack on the dash console, well I took the headlight/windshield dash console off and the headlight tabs are all broken and he cobbled it with sheet metal. That is not my style so I am looking for a used headlight assembly. I do not need the speedo/tach. Either just the headlight or the headlight with the dash console all together. I am not having much luck lookin on the internet so far so I thought I would try on this forum. If anyone can help me out I would greatly appreciate it!! I also need to redo the bogey wheels on the suspension with ones I can replace. Any suggestions on that? Thanks again, newbie Yammy rider.

Once you get her fixed up to your liking you'll love the sled. These things are an adrenaline rush to ride.

Private message a guy named laneo on this site. He parts them out and always has parts for the 4 strokes. In fact, I think he's parting out an '08 Apex LTX right now, so he might still have the headlight assembly and any other parts you might need.

Sounds like the prior owner must have flipped the sled and never told you about it. Bummer. But once you swap out a few parts shell be good as new again.

You might also want to post this in the classifieds under the wanted to buy section. Also maybe look in the for sale classifieds to see if anyone else is parting out a Apex.

Those headlight tabs break frequently. If his fix is working your better off leaving it alone.

There was a guy on here I think it was betheviper that was offering some service to fix those tabs and in that case you couuld try that.

Otherwise you can transfer all the parts over to the new headlight assembly including your speedo.

Yamaha sells spoke wheels for 20 bucks that you can replace the bearings in. Call Port Yamaha they sell them

Hey thanks!! I will give it shot! Well the guy told me his kid fell on it when he climbed up and over to the upper storage shelf that was above the sled. Very possible, who knows, wish he would have just been upfront with me. Everything else is straight, I have it waxed up and it's lookin good.
