apex keeps stalling

I had the samething happen to me,

My RPM went down in January , 1100-1200 on idle when she was warn,

I have adjusted the idle back up to 1500, all was good but this weekend idle back down to 1100-1200 again, sat morning i warmed up the sled, left for a ride did about 500' slow pace let go of the gas and she stalled, did another 2km to the trail I came to a stop sled just died, turned the key started right up ran fine whole weekend but still idling low,

I've check everything that I know of and all seems good,

I'll post back if I find anything...

I more or less have exact same problem, except mine never dies to the point it stalls out. I have new donuts, confirmed check valve works, confirmed air box is on properly and all hoses connected properly. I have new CR10EK plugs. I have never had any codes on the sled. I've tried 87 octane and 91 octane, no change. I have no idea what it is, but its pissing me off!!!

mine has done this as well, turned the idle up and it didn't budge next time out cold start 2200 warm idle is now 1800, hasn't fell back to 1000 yet but i will see. if ican get it back to 1500 if it'll stay there.

with your stalling problem is it stalling hot, cold i am starting to wonder if it may be an out of spec crank sensor, starting to get some years on these efi motors bound to see more electrical issues, use to change out gm magnetic crank sensors on a regular basis for stalling when hot, try checking your sensor cold then get it hot recheck maybe the sensor is dropping out

guys this may sound stupid but i had the same issue on my 09 nytro, the breather hose for the gas tank was pinched off causing a vapor lock when it for hot. I rerouted the hose and I was good to go.

tps

Hi all just checked the tps and the check valve fired her up runs fine but the idle 1500 down to 1100 spin the track the same kind of rpms hate to buy a tps and that not the problem any other suggestions

Just a guess, but you might have stirred up some old gunge in the tank?

Try a can of Sea Foam and see if it helps? Add it, run it, let it sit for a while and run it again.

Good luck.

I'd do this as we'll..plus use Yamaha Ring free for cleaning a carbon. The fuel is bad today. I never had troubles with my Vmax's but these last 3 years white gel stuff builds up in the bowls.
Also spray every electrial ground, connections with WD40. Being an old Marina I can attest to it's surperb performance wth electrial. Never had electrial problems running WD. Knock on wood and all of that but the Attak and Vmax's still start and run strong.

Hang in..someone will chime in. It's the weekend and most are out riding or on vacation.
But I would start with the snake oils and then plug change..with the electronic system plugs could matter. I'd put OEM plugs in to start as well as snake oil and run it..then go from there.

Apexman, do you have CR10EK's in or stock plugs? As I mentioned earlier I have the exact same problem on my 06 Apex GT. I do however have the CR10EK's and am wondering if that's the problem?

tps and crank sensors are places to start, got a multi meter check your crank resistance hot see if it's in spec, do a sweep test of your tps, this is where to start report back with your results, then maybe we can help you some more.
cleaning my idle control valve and syncing my t-bodys seem to help out quite a bit .
now going out for a ride

tps

Hi all i have the plugs in it that the book calls for changed them 1000 klms ago

MY '07 Has been doing this stall thing for about 10000 miles or so. last time my donuts were done, I was told that it would be cured (from donut change). No luck. I brought it in again this weekend. TPS was the diagnosis... Better but still stalls on occasion. More frequent when abusing it. Hope we find an answer soon, my YES warranty expires Mar 5!

tps

Well just got back from a major ride about 1000 miles in 1 week sled only stalled 6 times when u pull up to a stop sign it idles down perfect to 1500 then the next time u pull up to the stop sign it idles down to 1000 maybe 900 so i often just keep burping the throttle be sides that the sled just rocks i love it ..
