Tried an apex seat on a 2003 rx1 last winter:

how hard was it to add the apex tail

Not at all, just used and apex rear plastics and had to bend somewhat the tailpipes brackets... but nothing hard to do.

Had to cut the tank cover,

Everything bolts right up. The only thing you need to do is switch the plug in for the light. It is really simple if you know anything about electrical. There is a small gap between the seat and the covers, but it is pretty close. Thanks for the comment on the truck! My wife doesn't like the payment every month!!!
