so i got my skid out and installed star suspension kit. All went well until now. I have my skid back in sled with the 2 front bolts installed but cannot get the 2 rear bolts to line up it seems like the skid has to go ahead 2 inches but cant as front bolts are in. Any help appreciated

What I did on my viper was put a floor jack under the back of the track and worked it that way

got it had rear shock bracket on bottom flipped down so couldnt pivot

YUP! Just read this and had the EXACT same experience when I put mine in. I actually walked away and went back out the next morning and as soon as I looked at the skid.... DOH!

I just put the star kit in my 14xtx as well, however I've not had a chance to ride it yet. How much preload did you put on your center shock? Mine is set at 30mm of threads left below the lock nut.

Now that I've ridden it some all I can say is dammit, why didn't I put this in 2 or 3 years ago??? The sled rides way better in all aspects and is the best money I have spent on my xtx. I have not found a downside yet. Star was great to work with as well!

I bought my sled used with the star suspension already installed. I’ve not driven any other Apex, but I can tell you mine rides pretty dang sweet. I still own a 2003 Viper which tears my back up compared to the 2011 Apex XTX with STAR KIT Mod.
