I just ordered a set of Bergstrom Skegs. I was impressed by the website:
http://www.bergstromskegs.com and also after talking to the owner of the company regarding this particular design, I was sold! Especially considering that they will last as much as five times longer than stock  And the price is right  $57 for a pair 6" long carbides.
Thanks RXWonder for the good info, and John I also reversed my mirrors on my Warrior and it works much better

I got 2000km on my original set. They were pretty worn when i serviced the sled in the fall. Switched skis to C&A extreme 7's, with 9inch carbides. the thing corners like its on rails!!!

Bob, glad I could help. Make sure you use the Ski Savers that Bergstrom sells. Ask him to include them with your runners for you. I was skeptical at first but I now realize they work great and GREATLY reduced my darting.

My stock runners carbide are junk allready with only 94 miles on the machine. Ordered a pair of 6" 60 degree woodys and are saving them for my trip to Canada in 10 days.

Yes John, he filled me in on the ski savers and all that other info regarding darting and ski wear :D Sounds like this guy has really done his research
They may very well be the best skegs available for the money :p

rx-1yamoholic where you riding that thing on i-95,with 4000 miles on mine one was completely without any carbide but still over 1/2 thickness there (road side)and the other still had 3 inches of carbide in middle and 1 wear pad in the back,i hear all kinds of wearing out of carbides and sliders ,must not have snow like we have in aroostook county or you guys just ride whether there is snow or not, come to the county and you wont wear that stuff out so fast

We are going to Fort Kent crossing over the bridge into Canada where my buddy, power-rush, has family. I am not sure what the name of the town is but it is the town right over the bridge. We are going up the the 6th as well. There is a national festival that we will be attending that weekend in Madawaska (hope spelling is correct) and then staying in Canada to ride the following week. I drive an 04 limited edition RX-1 (Red/Silver) and will be with another 04 Blue warrior along with a Artic Crap T660 that I mentioned in another one of my posts. Maybe we will see each other on the trail. I am from the Sanford, ME area but my dad lives in Ashland. Take care and have a great ride..

I must say it was not I-95 but close to it. We have not been blessed with snow down here so what little we have got I have been able to go out once or twice and I might have strayed onto a road or two. I just think for the money we pay for these machine you would think they would put on a decent carbide with some bite.

The Bergstrom carbides are definitely the way to go. Make sure you use the ski savers and the shim! This solution is better than the Simmons I was riding on! I have 138 Studs down the middle with the 8" Tri style carbides (actually 24" on each skeg). Just awesome!
