Asphalt Results "2007"

Apex/Attak is ready, and so is the SRX 780. Nothing really changed from last year.

Put the sleds in the trailer for this weekends pre-tech, and we have 6-8 inches coming tonight. I thought global warming was here?

Update, well....didn't get the sleds teched in, as my father was rushed to the hospital, just after my post on Wednesday. F'&*@!in doctor, gave up on him yesterday, and told us that he is no longer my father's doctor. Now we need to go to Milwaukee or Mayo to a specialist. Should have sent us there right away. Add to this, my son was at the same hospital in ER for strep throat, throwing up, dehydration, and diareaha. Not a good week for me.

The track here was supposed to open yesterday. Today we're getting a major snow storm. Go figure. Rescheduled for Saturday but it looks too wet for that at this point. Hopefully I'll have the sled ready soon. Gotta finish putting her back together. ;)!

Hey Nos-Pro sorry to hear about things, But if I could offer a suggestion the Mayo is one of the finest places to go, Been there for triple bypass and they treated me super. Hope things get better for you.

That is what I have been hearing, and will probably try to get him there. All depends on his new doctor's referall.

4/21/07 - 4/22/07

Started out the year with a bang!

Put a new track on the Apex/Attak since the "PINKS" race, and only made a few time runs to get the track worn in correctly. All 4 of my runs were 10.29 - 10.35

The SRX is the one that treated me good on the tree, and in consistancy. Did a bunch of time runs on Saturday, and was nailing the tree with some great reaction times. Went all the way to the finals, ending Runner-up against a very good Pro-Bike driver. Was told the the Pro-Bike driver bought back in, so that puts me currently in first place in points.

Bad part is I got sunburned real bad with blisters on my neck.....OUCH!

Thanks to Chris Bielak, Brad Milletics, Ken Ziats, and Mike (Hartzie) for helping me out when it came to crunch time!

Will post times tonight.

Thanks buddy, and look forward to seeing you down there soon. My pit stall has changed, and the track redefined the arrangement of people being there, and not being there. I am down by the rest of the sleds, but accross the pit lane, 2nd from the end (stall A27).

Congrats Terry, your 60fts are interesting, most are in the low 1.4's and these two are getting in the low 1.3's, what was different here? Looks like you hooked pretty good on these. Are you running in the Summit Super Series again?
Our track doesn't open until May 19th, and I'm still working on converting. I have a few changes again this year and another toy I'll be playing with at the track, stay tunned, lol.

Terry,

Are you racing the weekend of the 18-20th of May? If so, where and when? I'll be in Chicago and would like to drive up to meet you and check out your goodies if you are racing somewhere closer to Milwaukee.

Don, I am racing the Summit Super Series again, and off to a good start....

The 1.3's are good traction, but had to do a big burnout to get it to hook like that. Did some suspension tuning from Saturday to Sunday, and want to hit 1.30's. Being the first weekend with no rubber on the track, I think I have the suspension set up real good.

Stoutner - 18th is a test and tune night, the 19th is Summit Super Series Drags, and the 20th is the Spring Bracket Championship race, and I will be at Kaukauna (WIR) for these days. That is a real busy weekend here. You are welcome to come up that weekend.

Sounds great Wayne!

Had a rough first weekend out performance wise, but had fun so that's all that matters! A stock suspension + 15" wide track = alot of relearning on rear skid setup! LOL! I have alot of respect for the aftermarket skids & narrow track setup like I ran last year now, there is a definite advantage with them! I was running 1.7 60' times and 11.4's on the box stock Apex. Hopefully I'll get a chance to get out on Saturday again and try some new rear skid settings!
