Asphalt Results "2007"

Had a great day of test and tune at NYIRP. Dropped a tooth on the top gear durring the week. Played around with some different spring combos and tried to get my 60' times down. Couldn't manage much progress there though. Tighten the front, loosen the front, tighten the rear, loosen the rear...didn't seem to make much difference. Still around 1.5 I will probably go back to the srx front shocks this week to get the front of the sled lower.

For consistancy the sled was deadly. Out of 11 runs, I had 3 10.82s and 2 10.815s. These were my last 5 runs....

10.815 @ 115.54
10.815 @ 116.26
10.827 @ 115.59
10.823 @ 115.57
10.828 @ 115.63

Now if I could only get my 60 times where they should be....
:die

Hey Monker, keep it up buddy!

My SRX was deadly consistant also yesterday with both of my time runs with a 10.114

Both 60's were 1.35, and both 1/8 times were within thousandths from each other, but I put the big 'ol red eye on 1st round last night with a -.001 reaction time.

Another great day to test and tune at NYIRP.

Met Corey there and we were the first people to run the strip that day.

First run without N2O. - 12.303 @ 105.49 - started with a bid wheelie...had to get out of it and regroup.

2nd run hit 50 shot of N2O at about the 1/8th mile marker - 11.460 @ 118.18 - still popping the skis up.

Tightened front limiter all of the way down
3rd run 50 shot at about 100 foot or so - 10.818 @ 120.46 No wheelie this time.

changed nozzles to what I thought was 85 hp shot :o|

4th run ????68 shot???? hit button right at start of race - broke track loose hard and spun for about 100 feet - 10.737 @120.69

Rest of the runs all over the map.

I said 68 nozzles because I thought I put in my two nozzles that add up to 85 hp. Somehow, I put in one 85 nozzle and one 50 nozzle. Unfortunately, I had my fuel set for the 85 shot so I was realllly rich and not making much HP. I didn't find out until the end of the day when I reached in pocket for $$$ and found the nozzle.

What a bone head I am :o| :o| :o|

Blew out a wheel on my ski during my 7th run. Loaded up and watched for the rest of the day :(

Cory long time no see. I hope all is well. Stout, I don's believe we have met but I bet we will. Are you guys running the bike sled shootout at NYIRP? Cory, will you be runnig at ESTA this year? I hope all is well. Doug

I need to know the date for Esta, and hope my points schedule doesn't interfere.

July 21st weekend is the only weekend in July I have off. July 7th is Summit Super Series Drags, and July 8th is the Summer Bracket Championship Drags.

Doug,

I don't think we have met yet. I am going to run the shootout. Should be fun. I'm sure i'll be meeting you this year. I will race mainly at ESTA but will pop in at NYIRP for test & tunes and the shootout.

Terry,

The ESTA pro sled shootout is July 14th and 15th. The 21st is a regular race day. See http://estadrags.com/

I'm looking forward to meeting you this weekend. See you on Saturday around noon or so.

Corey,

That guy on the Mach did finally get at full nos run. 140 mph low 9's on his first full nos pass. I wonder how much $$$ he has wrapped up in that sled. He had all the bells & whistles on that thing.

It'll only cost ya a 6 pack of Bud or Labatts Blue :-o

ESTA is the 14th, 15th of July 2007 according to it's web site.

Hope to see all you guys there, Terry, Buster, Monker, Magic the entier crew would be nice.

As you know I have digital video of almost every race, but this year.....

I have a new helmet cam ( unused so far ) that cost me over $600.00. So, I would like to get some good runs on the sleds with it. Who wants to wear it!

Man, I wish our schedule would work with that, as I won't be able to make it out that way for the 13th-15th......!#@$%&(* 2 years now I will be missing it.

Just checked and Martin's Amsnow Shootout, is our last points race here, before we go to Martin for the 2007 Division 5 finals. !#@$%&(*

Just can't win!

Doug- I'll be running at ESTA when time permits. Lots going on with the new house and such. Just having fun this year. I do plan to make it to NYIRP for the June race.

Terry- That's too bad you won't be able to make it again this year. I've got to try and plan a trip out to the amsnow shootout sometime too.

Terry,

I can't wait to check out your Apex. I seriously am wondering how you are running a full second faster than I am....

Oh, I forgot....most of that time is probably used up hauling the extra 50 lbs of beer belly that I have...lol

I guess I'll have to talk Corey into running my sled once or twice to test that theory out!

Wayne
