Sled Dog said:LOL Come on big guy you know you would ride!
Hey you know me better than myself. Lets see here to Soiux about 70 miles plus about the same to Ignace plus 60 I think to Atikokan. So add 400 to the 500 and it would be a nice there and back plus circle tour of 900 miles. Nice 5 day run!

Sas, we did a Atikokan- Dryden-Atikokan run last year. Up one day and back the next and it made for a great ride. Trail from Souix to Dryden is a blast and Atikokan- ignace was great too. Ontario charges a lot for their permits but in my opinion it is worth every penny. I typically put on 1500+ miles a year in Ontario and ride Minnesota, Wisconsin and Michigan trails as well. Nothing compares to the quality of the ontario riding. We may do this circle tour this year sometime, but will more likely just go to Atikokan area and ride from there because the trails are much nicer with far less traffic.

Yes I like the trail from Soiux to Dryden as well. Getting air off the hills on the power line is a rush. I run that stretch about 6 to 8 times a winter. Soiux to Ignace can be real fast up in the sand flats. If we can get the Dryden to Ignace trail open this year its a shorter run to Atikokan. One can go there and back in a day. Can make Atikokan by Noon and head down into the states on the circle trail. Should be able to do it and back in three maybe 4 days.
I wonder if you the guy that phoned me last year looking for info. Someone from Min. did! Hey maybe I'll see you on the trail!

Nope that wasn't me. I did get a lot of info on the Atikokan area from Apex18 who lives there. We met up while I was there and I let him take my Attak for a spin. Wasn't long after that he traded in the skidoo for a Apexgt. The 4 stroke can be very addicting. We will be back to that area again this year probably the beginning of March. So are you telling me there is usually a trail that goes from Dryden to Ignace and bypasses Souix Lookout? There is a L501 trail that goes south out of Dryden to around Lower Manitou Lake does this trail ever go through to connect down by Mine Centre. I am hoping the snow and Ice are good enough this year to ride up from Crane Lake, MN this would save us about 2.5 hours each way in the car, not to mention the border crossing. I would much rather have my but planted on the Attak seat rather than GMC. Sinjin
