I changed from the Yamaha Tuners to Kimpex Arrow II skiis. I have had 4 different sets of skis on my Attak since I got it.
-Stock skis
-Simmons Flex Gen 1
-Yamaha Tuners
-Arrow II
The Arrows are my favorite so far
I had cable scratchers on my suspension and had issues with them moving and loosing tips even when Red loctited.
I went with ski mount scratchers and they have worked well for me.

We've had the Duraflex Cables.. on the Attak up closer to the wheels.. never a problem. First ones had issues I've read. There is a right and left to them when installing. I leave them down alot due to the hyfax issues on my attaks. In and out of the trailer with cleats on the door ..same goes for my shed ramp at home when I ride from there. over railroad tracks you name it.. they are the best since sliced bread.

I first bought the marginal wheel kit at the bend then another kit in the middle of the rail. THE BEST PRODUCT...PIONEER DROP DOWN KIT. Unfortunately, they do not make this kit that replaces the 6 wheel mounts and drops the stock wheels down. I wish someone would make some more kits. No more hifax wear.

I found using the Duraflex cable scratchers alot and dupont sliders like others here it solved the problem.

Agreed re the Pioneer drop down kit. Others use the Excell wheels (5mm larger OD). Both do the same thing, take some load off the hifax and decrease rolling resistance.

I have a set of the 6 pc Pioneer PS-133 Hifax Extender kit for Mono-2 suspension, if anyone is interested, PM me.

Cheers.

When I say "Refresh" I mean oil and anti freeze change, suspension and drive bearings and seals, suspension bushings ect...engine and clutches all original.
Great sled...these elite quality sleds are why a lot of us are holding off on a YamaCat purchase.
I ride with a group[pretty well all 850 Gades] where my sled is at least 1o years older then every other sled...not one of them can post a GPS speed equal or better then mine.
I know top end is not everything but I still end up at the same destination as everyone else with equal fuel economy and total reliability. And a huge smile on my face.

Yep can’t do the winder. Too much cat and not enough Yamaha. The overwhelming factor for riding Yamaha the last 20 years is reliability. Nobody wants sled problems when you’ve taken time off work and traveled 7 hours to your destination. My Yamahas have never left me stranded in the woods. Was thinking about it but went with a left over new 16 Apex last year. I now own a 13 and 16 Apex. I wanted one more before they quit making them. I’ll ride these antiques with a smile on my face until Yamaha comes out with their own sled.
