We picked up a 2007 Attak today with a stage 1 MPI super charger on it and see a couple concerns:
1. There is an error code 20 that doesn't go away, the yellow warning light never goes off and the engine icon keeps blinking on the display. Any ideas what this is about?
2. There is a rattling noise from some where in the nose of the sled when letting off the throtttle. It idles smooth and make no noise and is quiet when on the throttle. It is just when letting off throttle. Can the super charger make this noise?
The sled only has 1,400 miles on it and has been sitting for two years. The oil in the super charger can looks like new.
We have a 2008 Apex with the exact same set up and don't see either issue with it. The only difference is that the 2008 has the blow off valve for the inter cooler and the 2007 Attak doesn't.
I will greatly appreciate any input!!
Thanks guys.

Rattling noise is probably a blow off valve. Thats normal & supposed to do that. can,t help on the codes but somebody will chime in.

Before I added my bypass valve, on deceleration or low rpm my sled made a very distinct chirping noise. It was so distinct and loud enough people could hear that over the exhaust.

Code 20 is the atmospheric pressure sensor. The sensor is underneath the intercooler right beside the ecu. Make sure it is there and plugged in. It has to be removed and reinstalled when you install the supercharger kit so maybe they forgot to plug it back in.

Thanks for the help guys!
MPI has assured us that the rattling noise if just air back flowing in the
super charger when letting off the throttle. We plan to try the inter cooler with the by-pass to confirm this quiets the noise. It sounds like pea gravel in the blower.
The error code 20 is proving to be a little tougher to solve. We replaced the barometric sensor and the error is still there. It won't clear out of the fault log. Anybody got any input to ad? Are we just not clearing the log correctly? Anything?
I see the 4 stroke side calls me "newbie." I've been a VIP member on the 2 stroke side for the past couple years. Guess I'll have to send Tom more money to get membership on this side!
Thanks again for the help guys. I really appreaciate it!

If the problem was fixed the code would go away and only be stored in memory. That code could also be for the stock intake pressure sensor which is on the fuel rail/throttle body's. Check and make sure it is plugged in and the vacuum line is connected. To see how to clear the codes go hear http://www.ty4stroke.com/viewtopic.php?t=73896&highlight=reset+codes

Rattling comes from supercharger when engine is cold and/or have occasionnal misffires.
should stop doing that with hot engine.

Got it fixed, anyone with a GEMS controller please read.
Finally got the error code cleared...take note:
After replacing the barometric sensor , the fuel pressure sensor and two days of tracking wires down the cure was simple.
On a sled with a GEMS controller, you can not clear fault 20 with it plugged in. When going through the reset procedure, there is no power to the GEMS controller. It only has power when the engine is running.
The GEMS controller was unplugged and the wire connectors plugged back in original stock way. Went through the reset procedure and the ECU is happy again. No more fault or yellow blinking light and the memory is cleared as well. Plugged the GEMS controller back into the system after clearing faults and good to go.
Thanks for the help guys. Hope this will help someone else.

Hey iahacker thanks for the help here! I ran mine out of fuel and it was flashing a 20 and I did the unplug gems thing, and cleared all the codes and voila I'm back up again, plugged the GEMS in and away I go.
