I am looking to get back into snowmobiling after being out of it for 20 some years. The last sled I drove was a mid 70's Ski-Doo 440 free air. It was a lot of fun but mind you I was 8 years old at the time. Anyway, I have been wanting to get back into the sport for a while. Being semi brand loyal I always planned on getting a Doo. However, I am not overly happy with the REV. And after checking out the new Yamaha line up I am pretty much sold on making the jump. I need a sled that I am going to be primarly hitting the trails in Northern Wiscosin and the U.P. I also would like to have the option of being able to adjust my sitting position some. I am 6' 2" 240 and I dont plan on ridding forward all the time. Also it needs to have enough seat room that I can let my 6 year old boy jump on sometimes as well. From what I can tell it seems like the Attak was a pretty good fit as a showroom rider but how is it on the trail? Anyother suggestions, comments, or ideas are greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Well iflyem all i can say is wow,the attak is what stole me away from the apexGT that i had ordered, now in all fairness i never got to ride the apexgt just the apex er and attak side by side comparisons, and what i found on the same day w/same conditions was the attak rode and most impressively handled better for my weight at the time which was 250+# now i am down to 215# but i know it will still be awsome, now i ride all sorts of trails from tight one sled twisty trails from so. Maine to rr beds in no. Maine and i am convinced it is the right sled for me,and thats saying alot i am now 50 years young and i have been riding sence 1966 and had alot of sleds to choose from, all i can say is still WOW thing rocks you wont be dissapointed go for it... Pete :rocks: ;)! :ORC

The Attak seemed to be the best riding in the spring test ride and being 136" would be better for riding 2 up with a child. Best sled I have ever ridden just bummed out by the $3500 penalty for being Canadian.

The Attak is the way to go. I live and ride in northern wisconsin in the snowbelt. The 136 lets me rip up the lakes powerlines and pipe lines. Super on the trails. Go for it.
