my o4 Grizzly has been back firing.....always when I let go of the throttle...maybe do it 3 or 4 times everytime out....was wondering would the needle and seat have anything to do with it?...it was sticking before and I just tapped the carb to loosen it up or free it...it runs fine, starts fine too.....any suggestions.....??...Diceman

My 06 would backfire all the time. It seemed that the dirtyer the air filter was the more it would back fire. When it would pop several time an hour I knew it was time for a cleaning.

Adjust the valves if you haven't done it in a while. The intakes tend to tighten up. Keep your air filter clean. I remove the sock and rinse it with kerosene then resoak it with oil. Replace the sock if needed. They run around $12 to $15.
