Just got back from Quebec, here is some feedback! 8)
We did over 900 miles in 3 + 1/2 days in Quebec! My friend John with his new Rage rode with me. That is one nice sled. It gets 19 mpg and after driving it, I like it better than my Warrior for the type of riding that I do. Its got almost as much power and it feels much lighter, and yet it looks the same. My Warrior ran great!
Before going I found the secondary offset was out of tolerance and I adjusted that, I installed the SLP anti-wear pads and I'm running with the O/S/O primary spring and the secondary shimmed for overdrive, NGK 10 plugs. Engine is now pulling 10,600 RPM and I saw 123 MPH on the speedo, last trip only 10,100 RPM and 112-113 MPH and it was warmer temps on this trip. Still have the original Hyfax and the only problem is that the left hand warmer is not so warm anymore :? What is the warranty on these sleds? One year?

if you wired your heated visor plug into the blue wire under the handlebar pad, then that explains the left grip being cooler, as its not getting full power. mine did that to, till i wired it to the battery, problem solved.

I'm not sure what the "HEATED VISOR PLUG " is, that you mentioned?

do you have an electric visor on your helmet? if so, many have wired the plug for it the way i stated, and this can cause the left grip to run cooler. if not, then you may have other problems such as loose wires or a bad handgrip. whatever it is, if your sled is under warranty, then it should be covered.

How long did the hyfax last on the Rage ? Did he have the extra wheel kit ? Where in Quebec where you riding ? The reason I ask is that the Vector/Rage/Venture sleds are having very bad hyfax wear problems. Thanks

No! I'm not running an electric shield :? I think it's a bad hand grip

The Rage now has 2000 miles on it, he put oversized wheels in it (5 mm larger) plus a small extra wheel kit up front, but they where constantly freezing up. My warrior has 4750 miles on it with the original Hyfax 8) We rode out of St. Zenon and did over 900 miles in 3+1/2 days.
