Baffled with Nytro

Lost the starter on my 2009 nytro mtx. Since I supercharged it back in 2012 I figured I'd just as well tear the sled apart and give everything a look over while I was at it. Now it will fire up but shut down as soon as I release the ignition/starter engagement. It will stay running if i keep the key engaged forward.

I have installed new starter
new starter relay
new fuel pump relay
confirmed fuel pump is working by attaching a clear hose on outlet side.
Checked all fuses and connections.
Checked ignition switch and it looks like new.
took apart ignition switch and it looks and functions like new.
Have an ignition switch ordered hoping for miracle.

Ran a diagnostic and everything was good except 1.

Diagnostic code 9 has a reading of 0. I have confirmed this battery is good.
So I appear to be losing my volts somewhere between the battery and wherever the computer is picking up this voltage reading.

I'm failing to understand how I can crank my machine over for hundreds of cranks and have a 0 voltage reading on the # 9 diagnostic reading

Any suggestions would be appreciated

that usually is the ignition. i know my 05 rx broke a peice of plastic that would occasionally block the run position. that was a pain to run down too.

you could try ohm testing the ign switch in the run position and make sure it has a good connection.

No miracles here. Installed new switch with same result. I even started sled it in the dark hoping to see a spark somewhere where there shouldn't be. Still shuts down with started disengaged.
Checked battery voltage reading under load (cranking over engine) and its 10.8 volts
This 0 volt reading during diagnostic checks is the only source of the problem i can think of right now. I'm now thinking regulator but the fact it starts and will run with the key fully engaged is what gets me.

Check the red/green wire that comes off the starter relay. That is the power source for fuel injection.

mrsled just posted in another thread that he had a wiring issue where the harness comes over top of the tank on the steering hoop on a nitro.

Thanks guys. I'm still working on it. Tested the stater and got 0.2 so that's a relief. Have a mechanic coming to have a look at it. Wiring gets beyond my abilities but when it is figured out I will post results.

Had it confirmed last night that it is the regulator. Hard to believe I lost the stater relay, starter and regulator at the same time parking it in my garage.
