bar clamps


what kind of clamps did you use ? i picked up a set of moose racing universal and i dont think i would be able to get them on
 
I dont know what kind they are i think they might be moose they were on my bike when i bought it. I used the stock bolts and grinded down the metal ridge around the bolt at the top and then used a hack saw to cut a slit in the bolt to use a flat head screwdriver to tighten them down because i couldnt fit the 10 mm or 12 mm what ever it was to tighten them. Seems to be tight still and then i just put my bars on. what seems to be the problem for you ?

with the clamps i bought i have to drill another hole but it looks like theres no where to drill .... would you be able to post a picture of your set up?
 
No i just took the riser off. put the clamps on top put the long bolts back in and tightend them back down. theres really nothing to hard about it.

thanks for your help i think the problem is i have 50 mm clamps and the stock bolt wasnt long enough... so im going to bring them back and either get the 30mm or the 8 mm thanks for your help peter
 
one more question do you have hand warmers now or what? did you have to get new heating elements or use the old ones?
