I think that would be better. Just looks like it could get damaged too easy in a rollover on the side like that.I would have liked to put it right in cowl, just not ideal for installation.
Here's another idea. What does everyone think if I mounted it between the riser and gas cap? Could form up a nice bracket that attaches to the bottom riser bolts. No drilling, central location, and concealed.

Like I said before a push button on the handlebar. And keep the key in the stock location

The '20s will have a new handlebar push button according to specs. There will likely still be the key for on/off. If I were Travis I would wait a few more weeks and get ahold of a new '20 and see what it will take to retrofit a similar setup to older models.....I do still appreciate a key for power on features(LED light ect and power on my GPS) but also like a handlebar switch for easy starts without moving hands off bars. BRP has had it for yrs, but I do NOT like how BRP does not have a power on/off switch. So on my BRP sleds I always have to wire in a switch for my LED lights and GPS.Like I said before a push button on the handlebar. And keep the key in the stock location
I believe, the new Cats/Yams will have a KEY(On/OFF) and handlebar switch, and kill switch. My hopes are that the key is ON/OFF(only) and the Kill switch when pressed down will kill ALL power entirely(even key on) so therefore you can simply sit on sled, push kill down or pull it up to power up sled(also LED and GPS ect) then just hit pushbutton on handlebars. This way you wont have to turn key OFF everytime you go in for lunch or overnight. Just use kill button.

Just use a Yamaha atv switch set up .The moto 4 is what you'll need to be looking at .The '20s will have a new handlebar push button according to specs. There will likely still be the key for on/off. I often wondered if we could use the slot under the hand/thumb switch’s to insert a start button.
I like the look of the switch that Rockerdan uses for “flash to pass” from hurricane as well.

Can anyone confirm that the 2020 models actually come with push button start from the factory. It was originally spec'd on my 2019 XTX LE, but I can confirm it never came equipped and has (interestingly enough) been redacted from the Yamaha website as well.

Is that for the 2019 sleds too? Originally this time last year, Yamaha stated even the 2019s were going to come with push button start and they never did. Now the 2019s don't show it, but the 2020s do, so I'm a little suspicious that it's not actually going to come from the factory as such. I posted in a couple of the 2020 threads and I'm waiting to hear back.

I follow this stuff pretty close always. Never did I read anywhere that '19s would get push button start on turbos. First it ever was shown in specs was on the '20 models which get released early(Feb '19). Possibly you were actually reading the specs of the 20s.Is that for the 2019 sleds too? Specs still all show '20s as having push button, but Im anxious to see how they work on the 4s models. I will PM the OP of other thread where I posted pics for him. Lots of guys dont come on here in summer much.

Can start my ‘20 LE from EITeR the key in the dash by turning or by pushing the start button on Handel bars. Either one. The LED signature light comes on when the key is turned to the on position. I’ve only started the sled once as it’s still a the dealer until the start of October when I’m able to pick it up. I’ll mess around with it more for sure when it’s in my stable. Come on snow !!
