Yes the '19s all got the new switches ect, but never did they say pushbutton. The new specs for pushbutton did not come til the '20s.I'm well aware this isn't the source, but it's the best I could find.

Can start my ‘20 LE from EITeR the key in the dash by turning or by pushing the start button on Handel bars. Either one. The LED signature light comes on when the key is turned to the on position. I’ve only started the sled once as it’s still a the dealer until the start of October when I’m able to pick it up. I’ll mess around with it more for sure when it’s in my stable. Come on snow !!
Very cool....I was not sure if they would still use the same key setup with all 3 positions as older models(off/on/start) with the new push button switch. So it seems they use the same key start setup, which allows for signature LED to be on with key ON, which I like and always pull my GPS power off that so GPS is never left on by accident.
What I hope is, when the KILL switch is pressed down(off), the LED light goes off too. This may or may not happen but I hope this is how it is wired. Cause then we wont have to turn key off each and every time. Sure at end of day you turn key off and remove if not inside ect...but for trailside stops a not having to use key each time will be best. My Harleys were always set up this way, with a key but the kill switch would kill all too. Seems like this would be best setup. I cannot see the LED light and power being ON with kill off, that wouldn't make sense.

Back on this again.... crafted up another possible concept for the relocate.
No drilling...mounts using the threads in headlight that cowling screw threads into.
No harness extension needed...keeps costs down
Out of harms way
What do you guys think?

Here is concept 3. This would require a jumper harness, but I think it looks the cleanest. Mounts under bar clamp bolts so very simple install as well. I think the location feels the most natural too.

Installed a sample pre production assembly. Plug for the dash is a little on small side so need to find one a little bigger. Rock made up some nice plug and play extension harnesses.
Leave them natural or powdercoat them black?
Retail will be around $75

Travis, I use an Apex bar pad. Can you try one with your switch bracket and see if it works. I absolutely hate the stock key location, it's even worse using CoPiTrail

push button does nothing to address the location of the switch. You still need to access the switch even if there is a push button.

Not really, as the kill switch shuts off everything on the 2020s. So key can just be left on.push button does nothing to address the location of the switch. You still need to access the switch even if there is a push button.

i was told if key is left on it will drain battery even if kill button is off.
