I vote to just move it to a more convenient location where we can turn it with our gloves on!!

I'm with Agman 57 on just moving it to a more convenient location.
Keep it simple.

I'm pretty sure the 2020 models will all have push button start now. Still will have a key to turn on/off which is odd, but I believe the kill switch can be used instead of key.

Relocate would be best I think, but would buy either solution ![Smile :) :)](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)

Got some samples back and installed on a Viper today. New location is so much better. Rock's test harness fit perfect for a plug and play install. Do have to revise the leg with holes to drop them down farther so the nuts on inside clear the frogzkin intake vents found on the sidewinder cowl.

I am hoping the extension harness and the plug for the original location will be available separately from the bracket. I like the idea but I wouldn't want the bracket hanging off the side. I would rather drill a new hole for the key switch in the cowl area to the side of the handlebar riser area.

What I was thinking. Much simpler and cleaner looking to just drill a hole there.I am hoping the extension harness and the plug for the original location will be available separately from the bracket. Not really an option on a winder due to intake ducting on underside.
Drilling hole is easy but also need the little notch so switch can’t spin. Felt many would be hesitant to attempt the cut out.
The cowl plastic is also too thin. Nut bottoms out on the locking nub before making contact with cowl.

That all makes sense. I retract my earlier comment and would still be interested in the original key relocate kit. Power coated black please

I would have liked to put it right in cowl, just not ideal for installation.
Here's another idea. What does everyone think if I mounted it between the riser and gas cap? Could form up a nice bracket that attaches to the bottom riser bolts. No drilling, central location, and concealed.

Not a bad idea. Probably wouldn't work for me because I have my GEMS controller there on my MPI turbo Viper... but I would guess that it would work for most in that location.

To answer your orig question i would offer harness and plug as an option for those that want to tackle mounting it in cowl.
