Be part of the solution! Yamaha's future

Are you really listening Yamaha Canada?

My main beef with Yamaha Canada is the unfair pricing...not just the vehicles, but parts & accessories as well.

"Bring prices in line with our American counterparts!". Our dollar is stronger and yet we are still paying on average over $2000 more than the U.S.A.

I'm going to submit a complaint with the Competition Bureau of Canada here: http://www.competitionbureau.gc.ca/eic/ ... f/eng/home
I encourage others to do the same. It's time for the Canadian consumer to get fair treatment.

Time to stop gouging us Yamaha Canada.

I´ll give my 2€ (that´s euros) here too.

Nice to see that corporate guys are following what is going on with the brand forums.

My only beef with Yamaha snowmobiles (my warrior) is the weight of the sled and skid durability. If a DOO can make a lighter 4-stroke, so can you guys. And please make a skid what does not brake twice a season. The skid in the Nytro is a turn to the better, but my friend has destroyed one this season too. Some of us don´t have the pleasure to go riding in smooth groomed trails...

Hey guys,
My apologies for not making it clear who I am or what I do when I posted the survey. A little unprofessional, for sure. As some have noted in this thread, my name is Danny Brault and I work in the Marketing Dept. at Yamaha Motor Canada.

I know many will disagree but believe me: we are listening and we want to build products that better cater to everyone who loves motorsports (or is thinking about joining the club). Unfortunately, these things do take time and money. We're trying.

Thanks for taking the time to share your comments and fill out the survey!

Good to know Yamaha is listening, sure hope some of the suggestions/tips mentioned here don't take too long to implement.
I know things take time and money but some of the suggestions here are not biggies and could be implemented rather quickly and cheaply imo.

Grease nipples on the jackshaft and speedo bearings is something that yamaha could do no problem. I just went over the Polaris 440 XCF and it has grease zerts on each bearing.
I don't know about that? Then i think they're a non sealed bearing, where i'd rather take 20 min and pull the seal off and do it by hand.

WHY? two shots once a month and done like dinner.
I've been changing bearing, ujoints and ball joints etc my whole life and would say sealed lasts longer. but it would be nice on the a arms and steering

There are many Polaris sleds out there, including mine that have never replaced the jackshaft or drive bearings, all because they are a greasible bearing.

Typical from YC!, I am sick of there rederick, discrimination, and general discontent you've discriminated against me for the last time YC you should be ashamed of yourself's for not allowing me a test ride or employment because of my disability!

Fomer Y owner ;):D

Bigger wheels for hyfax wear, alittle lighter , stronger front ends stand behind product alittle better .. Those little slids came off on top of the front of arm in rear suspen. and took chunks out of track where the drives grab ( so the dive lugs on track ) my dealer said they said it was lack of man. sould of checked them before riding ..I just want a new track or update it to the 2010 se

Ike they do get 04 pro action.

My Warrior 07. It´s called Attak at your side of the pond. And yes, it has the beefed up MONO in it, and yes, it still brakes.

A few years ago yamaha had a survey on the U.S site which showed drawings of different types of off-road machines(bigger than a rhino, could hold more people and the ability to turn into a camper). The survey had many questions concerning price, size, and the ability to camp out with this rig(the drawings were black and white, but really neat ideas. Many different choices). Will we every see this idea come to light?Maybe. What you won,t see is a higher performance rhino any time in the future for the same reason Honda won,t release a new pilot.Reason? The legal system in the U.S would have a field day with lawsuits :o| against Yamaha and Honda for releasing a high performance UTV onto the public.A Foreign manufactuer can,t play this game like BRP,Cat,and polaris.

The questions were well put and everything was well layed out with lots of choices  NOW just remember that Yamaha does everything for a reason! Testing testing and more testing before we ever even hear about it.... and it is the little things that you will see changed on the "new sleds" If they come out with a new design I am sure it will have bigger wheels and all the little things we want to see improved apon
Just remember YAMAHA IS ALWAYS FOUR YEARS AHEAD OF THE COMPETITION :4STroke:

Why can Yamaha release a top of the line moto cross bike, a 700 Raptor, 450 race quads, fast WR 450 woods bikes, 150+HP Apexes, Crotch Rockets that go zero to 390 mph in .25 seconds, yes POINT 25, lol. and not be able to release a higher output Rhino?

I know what you're thinking ... "Not another survey." BUT, this is the type of data we (Yamaha) use for our product offerings and future direction.
I am sorry if this comes out a bit harsh, but this type of survey sucks...! I can not see the point at all. If this is going to be the base of your product offerings and future direction...wow...you need to change the way you think. Seriously. I am not interested in telling you if I bought my sled because of the website or because of the brochure. I am not interested in telling you if I think "racing blue" or "kando". I am only interested in telling you that I want a better and more competitive product and in my case this is a lightweight, responsive and agile mountain chassis...!

One of my best friends runs the local Yamaha and Arctic Cat dealership. The current status of his 2012 pre-orders are THIRTYSEVEN Arctic Cat mountain sleds of various specification and exactly ZERO Yamahas. Again, I am sorry if this comes out a bit harsh, but that fact alone should be clue enough for your product offerings and future direction.
