My dealer has a new 19 on the floor so I got a good close up look at it.

The good is they have a extra wheel and they are going back to the bigger bearings in the rear wheels. Main reason for all the trihub failures was the small bearings. Also the axle is one piece and solid all the way thru with a larger 25mm diameter.

The bad is the new wheels are total junk. The list price is $14.00 each wheel vs last years wheels at over $30.00 each. Easy to flex wheels side way in your hands. Dont know yet on the trueness or run out when spun yet? So they paid more for the bearing and less for the wheel. I will have a great set up for you guys with the new iron this fall.

Great info Todd!

Better bearings and cheaper wheels lol....not all that much of a gain imo!!

With 205 HP stock...you need 4 wheels across the back...with strong axle and bearings...period!! And if you’re studding it...it’s really a no brainer!!

Love my J&T Products Stealth Big Wheel kit!! Very high Quality product for sure!!

I have 2 J & T big wheel kits and 1 turbo Dynamics both are similar but suffer from the same design flaw. The spacer that pushes the outside wheel away from the skid is held in place with a bolt and each has failed on me In relatively short periods of time. And when it happens limping home is no fun hoping the axel stays in place.

Last spring at the weenie roast in cable I broke the right wheel off during testing and did not have an easy out to remove the bolt and had to scratch that sled for the weekend.

We had a few issues with bad bolts but not many compared to the amount of wheel kits sold. We now use better bolts that cost 3 times more. We work hard at providing quality parts for our fellow riders. My group only rides turbo sleds and beat them hard all season long with no problems.

Lol ok...so do I have the better bolts in my kit??

Ordered it from you in late May or Early June of “17” for my “2018” RTX 129 50th anniversary.

I pounded the crap out mine...what I can say is blue locktite and tighten fully....the whole assembly needs to be squeezed together with enough force...cant say the torque spec but pretty sure it was about bottomed out...

Well at a glance I thought Cat used the heavy duty bearing like we use . Nope. They used a 6006 size. its as skinny as the trihub bearings were. The O.D is less than the 6205 bearings we use. The new wheels have a thin surface where the track and wheel ride together and studded tracks are going to eat theses wheel up. Maybe thats why this new 8 inch wheel only costs $14.95? Parts are being made for our new 19 stealth kit!!

I can see that. Lost Both left side idlers twice last year, first ride on first 2, 2nd or third ride on next 2. Our theory is it was the road side, do if running up onto bank to get lubrication for slides it flexed and popped the wheels of the bearings. Bearing and clips stayed in place
