I was on the fence with the tuner skis and disliked them in most conditions I took them off and shimmed them a quarter inch on the back side an reversed the spacers on skis to widen the stance it made a big difference and I am now happy with them something to try before you put new skis on and it doesn't cost anything

It doesn't push in the corners near as bad much more predictable it also took some of the nervous twitchy feeling it had on some conditions away

I installed my Tuners on my MXZ last weekend and they worked very well with zero darting, except they were very difficult to steer. They just locked onto the snow. It's amazing how different these skis perform on different sleds.

I have read somewhere that the arctic cat skis' are what guys' are using, I think they have one carbide rod instead of the two that Yamaha has. Also myself I took of what was left for the wear rod/carbide on my viper and install the ski savers/ wearhard rod/ 8"tripple point bergstroms and have put on about 200 miles this winter with them on have noticed a huge difference!

How does that saying go? Don't like the weather wait 15 minutes? Wait till snow conditions change and you'll be right back where you started.

I've got my Tuner II's on my X-TX still. I put the 160 front shock on the rear skid, and got it adjusted, to where they do pretty well on trails, but they just don't float very well off trail.

Scott Bergstrom has sent me various setups to try and test over the years on my '09 Nytro (Tuner II after the stock skis got too hammered) and now my '16 LTX-LE (Tuner III). His triple point on the inside/nothing but a wearbar on the outside with his ski savers seems to work best (for me) in the extremely varied conditions of NY. To me, the Tuner skis were Yamaha's answer of a band aid to fix heavy steering - they were not engineered to improve the future, but to fix the past. Luckily, they work, but that being said, I've never tried a pair of any aftermarket skis either.

You can't fix these skis with setup or wear bar. They're just to sensitive to changing conditions and difficult to push aggressively with any confidence. They are what they are........

Stock I found the tuners to be pretty disappointing. Another poster suggested two 6" shapers on each ski. I did that and the improvement was night and day. I put Rouski wheels on which are not cheap and ski specific so I plan on running these for a while and see. I'm figure if I never try an aftermarket ski, I won't know what I am missing lol.

I do both with 8" and have no issues. So WHEN on the trails we Brrrappp really agressive and of trail doesn't matter what you got on them, use body weight more then anything. Hate this spring Fing weather going on here in Chi-Town, even in the UP this wkend in the 40's:o|:o|:o|:dunno::dunno:
