I’m not an agressive driver, all trail riding except for a little playing around in my fields, like floating around in the powder snow in the fields. I’ve doubled my wife on it twice this year for a total of probably 100 km with her on, and I’m driving very gentle with her on.
Any ideas why the belt only lasted 1700km? Is it my driving style? Is it just a cheap belt? I’m sure it’s probably the cheapest I could find, I can probably have a look and see what I paid for it. Or could there be another reason?
If it is the brand of belt, any recommendations for a good one?
Thank you
Burt

I looked in my records and it was a Dayco XTX5033, then I ordered a new one, then I searched and found numerous threads mentioning belts lasting 300 to 1800km on the Nytro. Seems to be the norm. Also see that the Dayco belts are garbage so I’m going to call Royal distributing in the morning and see if I can cancel that order and order an OEM belt. Well on second thought I better call Yamaha Dealer first and see if they have one in stock because I’m not waiting 6 week like I did for my last order from Yamaha

Definitely stay with OEM belts. Not to say it won't happen but less likely. I've seen stock belts delaminate the same way but with much more KM.
