I have a squeal I am assuming it is my belt at about 5000 rpm just after taking off. Goes away as rpm's climb
Any ideas why , does it just need cleaning ?

I got the same squeel when I start off from locking the binders. It really does it when it's sub-zero. Can't wait to hear what's up with that.
Oh and I always start out slow for the first few miles when the belt is cold too. I wonder if it's the frost that builds up on the sheaves when it it sits?

I took my warrior for the first ride tonight, we got dumped on (lower Mi)
from my heated garage, I came back and had a squeal, so its not frozen clutches. BTW WOW!

check you secondary belt clearance. You may need to adjust it. I had same problem.

Deshkae,
Would it be a low riding belt? I have around a 1/16th inch or so.

The squeal is from the belt being just a hair too tight. Just give it a little more clearance.

Belt should be rideing a hair above the secondary when at idle. If not you are losing performance. If it is a new belt give it 10 miles or so and it should be where it needs to be. If not then you will have to buy the shims to adjust the belt ride height of your secondary. Also check the belt deflection. Your dealer will advise you on the sizes available on the shims. The shims are cheep, like $1.00 each and you will need 3. if the belt is low and still squeeling then it's another issue. but it sounds like your belt is too tight and to my experience that is the only time a belt will squeel at idle or you have the wrong belt installed.
