Looks really nice and fit was perfect. Hope this cures the darting for our sleds. Lots more carbide than the OEM I had on both sleds.

You guy's will be very happy. Rod, these are what I was running on my Viper with C@A Pro ski's in Manitoba. Now using identical setup with the Attak and Slydog Powderhounds. NO DARTING!!!

How do they hook up with stock skiis? Do they eliminate the push?

Right on I cant wait to try them out.

I just got mine in from Scott at Bergstroms and I am wondering which end goes towards the tip of the ski... probably a dumb question but I have not seen a set with filler weld before.. so which goes forward the carbide or the filler welded end?

The front was marked with an F. I looked closer and the front side of mine the carbides starts right under the 2nd bolt. Hope this helps you out.

Going by memory here, but I think if you look at the runner from the side, you'll see that the carbide is not mounted right in the center of the wearbar, in fact it's about an inch off to one side. You want that extra length of carbide more to the back of the ski for better performance and durability.

Exactly but mine were marked just the opposite I have an inch of carbide more to the front as marked by Scott himself not the back.

Gentlemen,

I am torn between buying the Pilots or going with 8 inch Bergstroms with Ski Savers on my 07 ATTAK. Do the Bergstroms eliminate the push in the corners when using the shims? I really appreciate the help.

Thanks!

Shane

Shane, I ran my stock ski's for my first ride on the Attak. This was at a TY ride in Munising. Couldn't hardly hold the bars it darted so bad. That night in the garage at the motel, I switched out my stock carbides to a new spare set of 8"Triplepoints, 3/8" skisaver. and a 1/4" shim in the rear of the ski rubber. Next day, VOILA!! No darting!! Could run over 100 one handed. No slow speed, medium speed, or any other kind of speed darting. That being said, if you ride your Attak off trail, you'll need wider ski's. The stockers will NOT float at all. I now run Slydog Powderhounds with the same setup as the stock ski's. The Slydogs will need to be shimmed under the FRONT of the ski bumper. I am using 3/8" shims per Scott Bergstroms reccomendation. If you don't ride off trail , the stockers with the above mentioned setup work fine. Hope this helped you make your decision ;)!

So I should be able to go ahead and take the shim from my stock skis and just move it forward when I install my Slydogs? Why is it the opposite with Slydogs than it is with the stock skis?
