Did you change the gear when going to 270? Seems like you need to for more top end on that flash.
You don’t need to change any gearing. The stock gearing(21/41) is good for upper 120’s on the Sidewinder. If you feel you need more top end than that...you can go up if you want to. But the Winder gearing is fine for 270 Tune. All depends where you trail ride too?
I ride in northern nh. The lakes would only be the spot I would see it anyway. I was told the stock sidewinder GPS at 117-118. That was from the gentleman over at Hurricane through an email awhile back. Adding more hp though may add more top end depending on the flash?

I don’t know where they get those numbers from? Many here have GPS’d Their Winders with stock gearing at 125-127 mph. That’s perfect conditions of course, but if the conditions are right, you can see that with stock gearing.
I ride in N. Maine..trails are huge and big and fast...super highway trails in a lot of cases, and I haven’t felt the need to gear up cuz I wanted more top end. If you’re racing all the time on the railroad bed/lake, and want every single mph, then I can see that. But in most cases/instances you can’t use all the speed to its max potential when trail riding anyway.
Just my opinion. To each their own of course.
I agree with you. 125 is way more than enough on top. I have to break it in first. I haven't even had a chance to really ride. Very limited on snow this year so far.
You have a chance to line up with a 900 ace turbo modded yet? I know someone that did the 210 HP flash. Wonder how that will run.

Those Turbo Doo’s are very nice sleds. But a tuned Doo 900 not gonna Hang with a tuned Winder. A tuned Doo 900 will be about where a Stock Winder is however. And a Stock Doo 900 isn’t even in the same class as a Sidewinder stock or otherwise.
What did you do for a 4th wheel kit?

Stock gear on mine. I don't need to go much past 120mph. My brother has a 22 top gear on his sled, all the same mods, and it isnt any quicker

118 is more inline with stock gearing with cat (24/50)
Cats run slower on top but quicker low and mid? I was reading they were winning the shootouts.

Hi how is N.H. on noise now a days? I used to ride there a lot back when maine and N.H. were happy togeather lol if you know what I mean. I live in southern southwestern maine,we used to ride N.H. a lot back in the 80,s and 90,s,but I never got used to there speed limits, plus everyone crammed into one small area, when in northern N.H...pittsburg etc.looking it 1200.00 for that. An extra 800.00 I could have the multimap and many other goodies and push 290HP on pump gas and or tune it down to economy mode for mpg savings I think.
NH speed limits are a pain. Only lakes for fun. I do ride in the Rangley area when I get bored of northern nh area

I think someone last year did post that they touched 120 mph GPS on a completely stock winder.
As I recently posted I GPS'd 124 on SRX with software only and slightly heavier weights. I think '125-127- is possible given that I didn't tap the rev limiter.
