Hi I am wondering what everyone believes is the best belt to use on the asphalt.
Boosted 2003 RX-1 (10psi).
I have been using the stock 8DN belt, but feel there may be a better one to use.
Perhaps Mr. Knapp would be willing to make a recommendation.

I have tried all kinds of belts and went back to stock 8DN yami.
The worst one I tried was the Dayco Ultimax. The fibers felt like a wire brush from the heat, which wore down the sheaves within 10 weekends of asphalt racing. I know I posted this in my asphalt results section. Don't know if it was 2003 or 2004.

Definitely stock Yamaha belt. Try the other brands, you'll see for yourself.

Not sure what the difference is, do a search on the site here, there has been discussions about it and ask your dealer what the difference is. With most manufacturers the higher number usually indicates improvements or is a replacement for the original.
