Asphalt Results 2014

Good Morning!

As a last minute decision....I went down to Great Lakes Dragway to do some racing with the Viper :) ......sorry allyammies, didn't get a chance to tell you I was headed that way....

Temps were 83 degrees, 74% Humidity and zero wind. Sunny and the track was in perfect hooking conditions.

1st time run, lane 1, sunny, engine temp 146 - no changes since my last post running 11.38
reaction .080, 1.499 60ft., 6.902 1/8 mile @ 94.43mph, 11.280 1/4 mile @ 109.26mph

2nd time run, lane 1, dusk, engine temp 152 - changed secondary to 3-3 60% instead of 6-1 70%
reaction .040, 1.457 60ft., 6.858 1/8 mile @ 94.34mph, 11.237 1/4 mile @ 109.30mph

3rd time run, lane 1, dark, engine temp 148 - added 2mm shim to primary spring (rpms were just a little low)
reaction .179, 1.443 60ft., 6.833 1/8 mile @ 98.15mph, 11.211 1/4 mile @ 109.05mph

4th time run, lane 1, dark, engine temp 136 - no changes....humidity was getting bad and traction was going away.
reaction .181, 1.502 60ft., 6.895 1/8 mile @ 98.76mph, 11.277 1/4 mile @ 108.87mph

Amazing how the 2mm shim gained 1/8 mile speed by 4 mph! Crazy how little changes make a huge difference.

Friday Sept. 19th - RSD once again and I will be trying to dodge a few rain drops from what they are predicting.

Wish I could be there bud... Ill be heading to the MSA/AmSnow Shoot in Martin MI.

Yup, I knew that bud :) No worries, see you at Wausau

I think Ken from WIR will be at the shootout. He is the one running 8's on the Pro-line 1000cc Ski-doo.
