Ive ordered a coulpe of drive belts on line from a yamaha dealer. The belts were $60 each. p#
8DN 17641-01-00. is this the right belt? seems cheep to me.

Damn lol that is cheap. I pay more than that at my local dealer and I get a pretty good price.

flemington yamaha on line

Yamaha belts are cheap in comparison to other brands. The yamaha belts last a long time, but due to their harder compound they are harder on the clutch sheaves. At least 3/4 of the sleds I get in have grooves worn in the clutch sheaves. Aftermarket belts from dayco and carlisle are a little softer compound and more forgiving on the clutch sheaves.

My belt cost 80 dollars from the dealership. 60 seems like a good deal to me.

When I bought my sled last year from the dealer I also got a new Yamaha belt and it was $60. I didn't think that was a bad price at all.

Sad but true in most cases in Canada. I have a good relationship with my local dealer and get close to us pricing. It does help that I am in there almost every week during riding season and at least twice a month in the off season. Heck when I walk in I usually end up giving someone set-up advice on their sled and pointing them to ty for stuff that I cannot help with.
