Best driver for high HP APEX

So my Avid CNC combo drivers arrived today. Press them on by themselves? Can they handle the torque and keep the track in line without any help?

ok guys, someone help this long time know nothing Doo guy out.

Just switched to a Apex a couple of weeks ago and I'm prepping for boost over the summer. I'm embarassed to say I dont even know what tooth drivers I have under me right now let alone the drive shaft size and other info I need to know to order up the avid's.

What drivers specs would I need for a Boosted 136" apex running a fully clipped 1" Predator?

MattZx6, The shaft size is 1.060 on a Yamaha Apex or Attak, or 1 1/16. It is stock with 9 tooth drives. The short track sleds do not need extros. with the mono ra. The attaks do need them as they ratchet horribly with boost. The track loosens as it transfers! The best 2.52 pitch drivers are the ski-doos. You can get them in 8,9 and 10 tooth from ski-doo parts bins. They are the proper pitch and cut, also feature cut outs for the guide clips and run true. I will never use anything other than the ski-doo extros again. Mike Knapp#17

Mike - I agree on that :) ski-doo xtro drivers are not even pricy.

I thought all the trips to my local doo dealer were in the past!!?! guess not!!

thanks for the info

The Ski-Don't drivers will hold up to the HP of a turbo and a 159" x 2" track? I need a new set of extros and might be willing to try this route if it can take the HP.

Thats why I put them on is to hold the power of a turbo. The Ski-Doos are the only way to go!
