Best on trail snowmobile trip

I would love to ride Quebec! but its a long haul, maybe when I gain another weeks vacation I can split for a week and still have time for the family vacation too.

NE Iowa always has something going on. Lots of different types of trail-riding.
i'll second the northeast iowa deal,if they get snow,it's almost as good if not better than riding northern wis.or the u.p..very good trail system, and new or nearly new groomers.have rode there alot in the last two years.

St zenon Quebec thousands of miles of trails elevation changes usually groomed and open by third week of December a trail system thats only rivalled by a 4 lane interstate and a old school charm and way of life oh and dont forget a camera unlimited scenery everyone should sled here once

Any links/websites for the area?

St-Zenon is classic look up aubergelecabanon.com
but Les Monts Valin is epic hard to beat motoniegevalin.com snow from November-April
Charlevoix is a must also
Might be a little bit of a drive for you though

Come over to Midwest WI either Trempealeau county, Jackson county, Lacrosse county or anywhere in that vicinity. You can have your long fast trails which are fields or old rail road beds. You get the corners in the woodlands and the best part is all the hills and bluffs that the trails go through. It's a beautiful area that is if we get the snow in this area and the groomers can get some work in,but when this area has snow like last season, it is a beautiful place to ride. Keep an eye on trail reports and weather before you make any trip.
I have ridden that area before and it is by far the BEST trail riding i have ever experienced! absolutely beautiful country, but the only problem is trying to plan a trip and being guaranteed that there is going to be snow. If there is snow, Do not pass this chance to ride!

I am real interested in this area. Might be nice for a change of pace. I searched you-tube for a snowmobile video of this area and didn't find any.

Do any of you guys have a video or can you tell me a title to search for? I would like to get an idea what it looks like. The map looks like it has some hills etc.

Thanks

Well I dont know of any videos but it's for the most part along the Mississippi River so it has bluffs and a lot of farm land. From my experience of riding in northern WI there are some "Warning Steep Hill" signs and they never seemed steep compared to what I'm used to riding here in western WI. The rail road beds areund here are used as walking/biking trails in the summer so they are straight and pretty much flat so you can get your high speeds. Also in some most fields that are on the flats you can get going. It's just an area that offers A LOT of variety, but keep in mind that lake riding is hard to come by here. Keep an eye out for trail conditions but if it's a good winter it would be a nice place to visit!
