Guys, i got all the decals stripped from my brothers sled, but cant get some of the sticker goo off..

I tried WD-40 and Bug and wax remover,, but it isnt touching the stuff..

Anyone have a beter chemical?

I scrub it off with gasoline and then take warm soapy water and wash off the gas..

Yes, it softens it up. Keep going and use more gas. It'll work.

Do NOT use goof-off or any such sticker removing chemicals as in this application, they are WELL KNOWN for taking the paint with them.

Goof off is a solvent based product and will harm your finish. On the other hand, goo gone is a water based product that has worked well on all my sticker adhesive removal. Give it try.

I have used the 3M adhesive remover and it works great. Don't apply too much pressure though when agitating the area you are working on. On the glossy paint parts of my sled (I have a black RTX) it 'dulled' the paint/finish a bit. I'm assuming on a lighter colored sled this may not be as noticeable. It wasn't a huge deal for me because I was applying new graphics over the area anyway. The stuff does remove the adhesive VERY easily though! Can pick it up at most car parts stores.

A product called Rapid Remover. Your adhesive will be gone in 30-60 seconds. This stuff is second to none. I own a sign shop and that's what I use to take the adhesive off of old vinyl lettering jobs that are getting removed or replaced.

Thanks for all the help guys..

I ended up using GOO GONE, it worked great, it still took alot of elbow grease and my finger nail scraping at it, but it came off..
