I have a KOSO and am considering an upgrade...love the readout but the sensors seam to be lacking quality! Thining AEM but really dont love the display....any thoughts?

Thanks!
Dave

I have the AEM I get about 1000-1200 miles on a sensor. Love the display myself.

How long do the KOSO sensors last and are they special or just a bosch one like the AEM?

They are unique to their solution...different connectors, etc.
I am thinking AEM but would like a cool way to mount it...

Anyone have any cool mount packages for a Nytro?

If you dont mind my asking, what is a Predator? I was noticing your data ... and your fuel settings. Is this an apex with mods?

Thanks!

I have Autometer Cobalt w/b o2, boost and temp on mine. I LOVE the way the blue gauges look, easy to see. I hate the fact that sensors only last between 150 and 800 or so miles. I run straight c12. I manage a shop/parts store so I just interchanged the bosch number and buy them here for like $55.00 each and I bought two and keep a spare and warranty them whenever they burn out. Bosch sensors carry a 1 year warranty. Most wideband gauges use the Bosch #0258007018 CARQUEST #75-2774

If I was to do it all over I would probably just have bought the prologger with boost controller and been done. but hindsight is 20/20

Any leaded fuel will kill the sensors fast. Running on unleaded fuels they will last for a 2-3 sesons at least. I run the Innovate LC-1 Wideband and XD-16 display unit, it uses an inexpensive Bosch sensor in use in most european cars running a EFI fuel system and in lost of Turboed Diesel fueled cars.
My Display have acted up this season, most likely a broken sensor.

AEM all the way.. sensors are cheap, 2 wires to install.

anything innovate seems to be a pain to keep working or even get started to work for me or any of my turbo brethren.

On my rear mount kit the o2 sensor is mounted about six inches before the turbo. Has anyone messed with mounting location to see if that makes a difference on accuracy / dependability of the sensor? I would think that after the turbo would be better, but ??????????

Upgrade to the NTK sensor part #24302. These are made to withstand race fuel better then the standard Bosch sensors. A bit more $$ but I found them for 113.00 plus shipping.
I have used them on all my turbo sleds, The yamaha got 1500 miles, 3 years on same sensor. The bosch on the cat just broke with 1000 miles and I replaced it with a NTK one.

The trick is to let the sensor go through its warm up before you start the sled. Hook the gauge up to power up on ignition and not running. Let the sensor pre heat and you will get more useage out of them.

I like the FJO set up myself but they are hard to get now. Next would be the powercommander set up with either display or gauge style. Then the AEM is solid as well. Just a bit small on LED display. Any 5 wire wide band can use the NTK sensor above.

I would mount the O2 sensor after turbo but not to close. Maybe 6-12" or so from turbo.

I have the Innovate G2 series gauges for all of mine. I bought them mainly because they seemed to match the Yamaha tach the best, and the wideband ended up being less expensive than most others. The w/b has an LED that flashes as it's warming up, and it stays solid when running if everything is functioning correctly.
I use Innovate in the shop for their LM-2's and other functions for the cars I tune, and have always had good luck with their stuff. Marshall gauges is the manufacturer for all of Innovate's gauges.

i use the innovate guage it is black with red digital read out , problem is when the sun is out you can,t read the numbers.
what guage background color are you guys useing that you can see when the sun is out ???
thanks

my sensors last about 2 years useing 93 , if i use any leaded they don't last.

I am running the NEW Innovate MTX-L AFR Gauge kit, #3845. Its the new Powersports model, which means now it has water tight connections and is designed for "Outdoor Use." Plus, its suppose to be the most accurate gauge out this year, as of SEMA this past November. Its work flawlessly for me so far this year.

AJ, I just had to replace the Bosch 0258007206 on my AEM, had to do the same this time last year after running Sunoco Maximal. Seems to kill my sensors super fast. I do warm the sensor up before starting the engine.
I bought another Bosch sensor because it fit my budget at the end of the season... but was curious about the NGK/ NTK 24320. Those do last longer with leaded fuel?

Thats what I was told, and they do look different. I ran one in my yamaha with no issues and I ran Sunoco Maxiamal 116. I just put the NTK in my cat a few days ago and She is done for the season, I will know how it lasts next year.
