Can someone explain how the big nuts are better? I am going through the track motion in my head.....I just do not not see it.
and they are lighter, which means less rotating mass.STORM-CHASER said:They claim the big nuts to keep the studs from bending as they come up the stud more.I have seen post were guys had bent allot of studs and then went to the big nut and never bent another, thats why I was going to spend the extra for them.

The nuts are lighter than the steel nyloc type, but the sweetest part was that I was able to tighten down the nuts without ever using an allen-wrench on the back side of the studs.![]()

[/quote]quote="Snowaholic"]sorry guys,
yes they were the .500's with the locking washers and I did put a dab of locktite on each one. I was very impressed with them, you would be suprised at the weight savings between them and the standard nuts. I put in the 1.325 woody's 2-4-2 pattern-144 with the double backers with no issues on missing/bent studs. I am putting the exact same on the GT but only putting on 120. I found that with my other set up I just hooked up to well and when I ride in the tight twisty trails the back end just wouldn't kick loose.
