So yesterday was out riding blew a belt around 100 mph (roughly 88-9100rpm) the panel blew right off and as I was looking I am missing a peice of my primary clutch. I did ride it. Home as I was in the middle of no where just wondering how big of a deal it is too keep riding it (going to look for parts tommrow) but ya never had this happen on any sled .

...curious to see if this has happened to anyone else??

Looks like it broke in 2 peices I was able to find one peice stuck in the foam on the side panel ( luckily the group of 14 no one ran it over) couple scratches and the frog skin I donated to let more air in has a hole in it but still usable. Just wondering what may of caused this issue? Sorry for the double pics

The belt blew. That's what caused it. Look at the marks on clutch. That was very violent and instant since can see the cogs in the marks. Holy #*$&@ man glad you weren't hurt.

I wonder if you shifted out far enough in secondary that belt hit bottom?

Ya def lucky I didn't get that peice in the leg.. Wasn't expecting that at all... Def violent has the panel blew right off...

I have no idea .. How would I know that

Ya . I could def do that- never actually checked that just assume it's ok

You think it's safe to run that primary like that I was going to try and get parts this week to replace it, would a peice missing effect the balence

I just can't Beleive I can't get 1000 miles out of a belt . Ever

No, it is not safe to run that primary ever again.

Ya I figured I limped it home but I'll get a new Sheeve

Question I did have the primary machined with that being said I would have to replace both clutch faces if I get one not machined and the other is from mine before would that be bad

I assume it's not a good idea just a question
