I have a block heater in my sled I never used it unless I stayed at the cabin over nite . This winter has been realy cold up here ,-46 at times .
I pluged it in over nite . The next morning I trailered with the cover on fo an hour ,when I got there it started like it was summer .I was amazed .
That is a good option to have .

Yamaha doesn't recommend them on the fuel injected sleds. screws up some temp sensor. However, You can use it overnight and then unplug it 30 min or so before you start your sled and it's supposed to be alright.
