I am doing some preseason maintenance and have a quick question,
are you guys using factory bogie wheels for replacement or using something better?

I think Fleecer provided a Part number. All I remember is they were for a 2008 model XP.You wouldn't happen to have a part number by chance?
Thanks

Aren't the Doo wheels a little smaller?

Yes they are a little smaller. The ones I mentioned, from the 2008 XP, are less than 1/16” smaller. That was the closest match I found.Aren't the Doo wheels a little smaller?

17,18 Cats/Winders came with 5.65 inch or 143.5mm wheels.
19/20 Cats/Winders came with 5.5 inch or 139.7mm wheels, but they are junk!!
BRP# 503191316 wheels measure 141mm or 5.5 inches. 1.3mm bigger than 19/20 models, but 2.5 mm smaller than 17/18.
Smaller wheel = less waves in track under slide = faster speed!!

I new the wheel diameter was different between the 17/18 and 19/20, but wasn't sure if the bearing was the same or not, thanks fleecer

I replaced a few with Kimpex part # 3604-039, time will tell if they hold up any better than the stock wheels on a 18 XTX. Seems the inner wheels get the rubber beat up faster than the outer wheels so i have all 4 mounted outside the rails to try. did anyone try to replace the upper wheels with something that may be better than stock? I did the JT rear axle and wheels when sled was new, wish they had quality replacement for the rest of the wheeks in the skid and the uppers.

That is the Cat part number. The Kimpex number is 04-116-81 or 298891I replaced a few with Kimpex part # 3604-039, time will tell if they hold up any better than the stock wheels on a 18 XTX. On my Apex XTX I added the hyfax saver kit , which lowered the wheels .17,18 Cats/Winders came with 5.65 inch or 143.5mm wheels.

Smaller wheel = less waves in track under slide = faster speed!!
You noticed an immediate difference as it would roll down slopes , that it wouldn't on it's own before , and would coast farther to a stop when letting off the gas .
Less friction = faster speed !
Not sure about your less waves theory , as I noticed an easier rolling sled and no wave feeling .
Just my experience for consideration .
Anyone else use that hyfax saver kit ?
I wanted to get it for my SW , but can't find them anymore.
