By Looking at the pictures it looks like the turbo is at a angle to the ex side. Dosent a oiled turbo need to be horazontal? I havent ever seen a turbo Like that mounted at a angle all the time. I have seen them leak when at that angle...

Good point Chubby. I would guess that some oil would leak out of the "downside" seal because the drain is in the center of the center section.... ummm.

I asked Rocky about this and he's saying it won't be an issue. The production kit will be mounted more horizontally.
As far as how loud the kit will be will be up to you. He said they will offer a straight pipe, slightly baffled, or quiet exhaust.

Just had a look at the pics, and the rad looks like it will only get hot air from the turbo, might need to move it or remove it to get rid of the hot air and add extra cooling in the tunnel instead. Is there a metal plug in the kit to replace the plasic one right behind the turbo?

there is a fan on the radiator that I assume is pushing cold outside air through the radiator, it wouldn,t make any sense to pull hot under hood heat out through the radiator, again this is just an assumption, if thats the case heat from the turbo should not be a factor, but I guess you would be pushing more heat from the radiator into the brake and turbo area adding to under hood heat. anybody know for sure on this one.

I think the "leak" issue will not occur during running. It will occur when the machine is shut off and cool with metal contracted. Not a big deal until you have a small "puddle" collected in the exhaust side housing that will burn off and smoke the next time you run the machine. It may look like its on fire for a while with all the smoke. Just a guess - may not be a problem at all... JMO.

Titanium Chassis & Side Mount Turbo
has anyone ordered the Titanium Chassis and side mounted Turbo from these guys?? I would think when they make the chassis & turbo kit, they would deal with a lot of the issues;
- checking oil level
- heat on right side
- intercooler (cold air inlet/short path to carbs)
- mesh hood to cool everything
- removing park brake
- did I miss anything??

What about oil return from turbo to engine... Turbo sit's low in frame
so i'm wondering where the return line connects or if there is a pump...??

Re: Titanium Chassis & Side Mount Turbo
I think tese is the best turbokit!
-you have oil level warning lamp
-no turbos without heat
-parking brake is only weigt, and you can use a M.P.I park brake
-and less weigt because you can remove all the exhaust parts
-You wil minimize the turbo lag, and thats for me wery important!
-did not ned a separate oil pump like back mounted
And i have ordered a turbo from Mc-x
