BOP fuse relocate

When I first created the kit 4 years ago, I did include a harness extension for the fan. The fan reverse mod was a popular mod at the time so the harness was an easy way for guys to do this if they wanted to. As time went on I concluded that I really didn't want to promote the fan reverse any more for trail riders.

I also could have sworn, that on my 14 viper xtx that I used fit up my relocate the fan plug would not reach once the fuse box was relocated. I had many customers asking me why I included the harness extension, as they did not need it. I began to think that my rad fan was mounted in an orientation that had the fan lead coming off towards the throttle side of sled, so in turn it would not reach. Last fall my buddy was here at the shop and he installed the fuse box kit on his viper. He had no issues installing it without the lead also, so I then decided not to include it anymore.

I sold approximately 50 kits last season, and I did have 1 customer come back to me and say he couldn't make the connection. I sold a relocate to Rich Kay few weeks ago and he was the 2nd customer to notify me he couldn't make the connection to fan as well. Rich informed me it was about a 1/2" to short. I've decided to revise the bracket so it shifts the fuse box forward 1" in hopes that it will work on the hand full of vipers that may mysteriously have a shorter fan lead.

First I would like to say thanks for such a nice solution to a really poor placement by the OEM... Ya cant control all the running changes that happen in ant type of production of things made. It is really a small issue and easy fix so all is good ! I did just what you mentioned … moved the fuse box 3/4" forward by drilling new holes! good stuff! Also know too that ya want it to be right.
