I just wanted to report on the throttle lever that is used on all the Japan made sleds from BOP.
The feel is subjective, but since i had 30,000 miles on the Japan model, i figured i would like it.
I DO!
The best thing is ROCKMEISTER helped out with the heater & it is HOT!
Also the lever comes with an actual c-clip unlike the cheap one timer POS clip from AC.

I was just about the start a thread on thumb heater....
With these temps, my hands cook just fine but thumb not so much!
So what exactly makes this one hotter then say, my apex was? This cat heater feels quite hot, but not quite enough recently for these temps.
Pics? Cost?
thnx

The ROC added a little black box gizmo thingy to beef up the heat. The underneath is also molded rubber compared the foamy felty thingy on the stock version.
I'll go outside & take a pic for you Dan. This 7 above is warm compared to the negatives i rode in last weekend so i'll be ok...

Steve! You freak 'n beat me by less than hour. I was literally driving home from my shop, eager to make the same post!
I ran the SW for 2 minutes to check clutches ect. Within one minute....(if that)...Apex w/boost was freaking hot. Like pull thumb away /ouch hot!
This absolutely cures the one major fault or dislike for me. I was dreading another winter with the way it was going.
Dan: Some SWs seem not to send as much power to the thumb lever. I suspect 2 reasons: One is that the actual element isn't always affixed tightly to the backside of the lever. I had a little better heat by pushing it tight and covering with foil tape.
Second....if you're not hammering the RPMs, the voltage to the grips just isn't there. I have no desire to go full blast. Im more like the guy chugging around in his Ferrari. Everyone knows what it can do.....no need to use it until the driver wants to.
What would be really awesome, would be if Rock would do up YamiCatHeater packages! I know you could do it Rock!
Travis/Rock: you guys really helped me with this! You can't imagine how big of a deal it is for some! Thank you.

Rock,
I know you know you're AC sleds as much as Yamahas. But if you need a SW to test fit...Id gladly run mine up from Indy!
