We went to a radar run today. The distance was short b/c of insurance. Lot's of sleds. Conditions were 4" of hard snow with ice patches in the middle of the track. Picks would be a benefit.
Our sleds with our new clutching.
08 nytro 121" no picks only primary clutching
09 apex 121" no picks only primary clutching
We had the fastest times in the 700,800, 1000 stock classes.
we ran 139-140
2011 1000 x-fire 136
2011 800 e-tech 132
2011 800 dragon 131
other apex's 130-135
other nytro's 125-132
turbo nytro 156 (I think)
turbo apex 158-162 apex that ran 162 was the first time he has run the sled. bouncing off the limiter for 3/4 of the track
turbo cat with mod efi to run some good power. 162 only sled that had picks.
no tech at this event
Thanks
Scott

Hi, our clutch kit has changed from previous years. We have only field tested the apex's this year, track dyno work will be happening soon.
These radar runs were only 600 ft. speeds are posted in Km.
Thanks
Scott

140km/hr. in 600 feet for the Apex is really good. Isn't that about 91 or 92 mph? That's my rough math anyways.....

More like 86mph . these sleds usually run in the 90's in 500 feet on grass from what i remember.
140 Kilometers per Hour = 86.99196691322675 Miles per Hour

these were the speeds for that day, with the conditions we had. The reason I posted these is numerous different sleds ran on the same track, same conditions.
The conditions were as follows: 4" of hard pack on the starting line with ice under the 4". mid way down the track ice for 30-40 feet. Then snow.
Not the best conditions without picks. But everyone had the same track to contend with.
Another day speeds could be up and another day speeds could be down all depends on the conditions.
