Quebecmntr, do you have a link/pic of this "boot" as I am interested as well?
I looked at a "wheel/tire" lock yesterday at CDN Tire, it was on sale for $79.99 but it seemed very cheap to me and looked like it wouldn't take much to cut it off so I declined.
Right now I have a ball lock and a latch lock, both good quality pieces but like what was mentioned above, just remove the tongue and replace with another one and the theif is off.
EDIT: just did a quick google search and came up with this, looks like one of the best out there imo, at least it stops people from switching out the receiver.

Yea I haven't found a decent tire lock either. Most of them lock the tire, but keep the lugs exposed, so all you have to do is remove the wheel and tire and put another one on.. pretty stupid IMO.
The gator lock looks to be really sweet, my only issue with it is IF it doesn't work at all if the trailer is hooked to the truck which is the most opportune time.. But it may work with it hooked to the truck Ill have to read on it alittle more.
Thanks for the info on that btw, pretty much what I have been looking for!
Try this link.

I used to use these when I had the big tires and wheels, on my 4x4 trucks.

Thanks, I wasn't aware McGard had wheel locks like these.

I am going to look into those ones as they look a lot more stout than that POS I seen at CT yesterday.
I also remember seeing a big lock advertised for parked/idle trailers before but I can't find it?
It was round and went over the whole tongue and looked super tough, the advertiser took a sledge hammer to it and it didn't do a thing.

I use a Steal Shield coupler protecter/lock. It does cover the coupler bolts somewhat, but you could still remove the whole coupler with a little effort. So had a welder taclk weld the nuts to the coupler bolts so they cannot be removed without a grinder. Hopefully, the thief will move on to a nicer target. I always park next to nicer and newer stuff to make mine less appealing.

Where did you drive to for that Blizzard Trailer?
Maxout01 Where did you pickup that Blizzard Trailer? I need a new 2 place trailer and I liked what you said about saving $1350 by driving to the manufacture to get it. I live in NY and don't mind driving.

Re: Where did you drive to for that Blizzard Trailer?
Bought it from the north south connection in old forge ny. Its a 10x101" clamshell fully loaded, 2495.00 plus tax. I dealt with michelle she is the owner of blizzard trailers. They had one left when i bought mine may 9th. Give them a call.
Everyone around me had only tritons and sno pros. The best price I found was aa triton for 3200.00 and it was a crap trailer. Had no options, 8" wheels, half length frame and so on. The triton and snopro compatible to my blizzard was 3750.00 plus tax, i paid 2495.00 plus tax for mine. All for a mere two hour drive and i had to go up anyway to open the camp for the season so it was perfect. Plus they are they 7 days a week.

Thanks for the tip on the good trailer buy!
That's a great price on the trailer. I will give North South Connection a call.

Maxout01 said:As im doing this i look at it the coupler with 2 expensive locks in my hand that took 30 sec to remove and realized... w t f good are they, if i was to take a trailer i'd just unbolt the couple and bring my own and be off in 2 mins unannounced lol! (not that i ever would, but couldn't be easier is my point)
Weld the nuts to the bolt. Will have to cut the bolts after to remove but so will a thief. Or as has been said put a boot on the trailer.

Thats just what I was going to say weld the bolt and nut together and cut them if you ever have to change the coupler. Now the boot I have never really seen one up close but cant they just take the wheel off and put another on?

I was just at a TSC here locally and they had the "Steal Sheild" on sale for $19.99, regular price of $59.99 so I purchase 2.
These are suppose to be a great lock and it is near impossible to remove the coupler once these are installed.

I was at the Bowmanville store here in Ontario but I am sure other Ontario TSC stores have them as well?
