Breaking Secondary Springs

Bushing on the moveable sheave
Ok I am seeing alot of wear on both bushings. Not saying that caused the spring to break because its not that bad but its worse than mine at 13000mi. Should at least blow it out every possible time you can.

The sled has about 20000 km, so 12000 miles. Would it be worth replacing the bushings? This is my second time opening a secondary, the first meeting the last time the spring broke. I'll admit, it's possible that I twisted the helix the wrong way when I installed it, I can't rule it out

The pics might look worse than actual. My moveable bushing is shiny everywhere. I dont like the roughness on yours. That is for sure wore. The cover coating is almost gone. How does the shaft look? Still have the black coating on it?

Do it but proper stepped driver which fits ID and OD of the bushings is the right way. With a press. And use Yamaha bushings not some SPI or other junk.
