2010 FXNytro MTX 162 SE with a 270 hp MCX Turbo and assorted goodies!
Sled was running great the last few days. Ran great all the way back to the trailer yesterday. Unloaded off the trailer today and always do my 10 mile warm up. Sled started to smell and burn oil after a little bit up the trail. Stopped, checked oil and chaincase. Started again, runs fine, idles fine. Never tried any boost on it, started to white-ish smoke again and the smell of burnt oil. Decided to tow it in.

About 450 miles on this oil change and oil is still pretty normal colored. Guessing it is the turbo seal/bearing?????

Anyone have experience with this????

not likely turbo, more something to do with drain back to engine. oil line kinked off, return oil pump not working, eg. pin is broken.

Is there an easy way to check the oil pump pin? I literally drove it the last 7 days in a row, and then today it ran like this. I did roll it over once yesterday to get myself un-stuck. But figured any oil that made it past my roll-over-valve, would have burned up before I made it back to the trailer that day. Can't imagine anything pinched. I have around 1200 miles on the turbo kit.

Any ideas or ways to check?

I also see some raw oil-like film on the rear end of the sled, like there is unburnt oil exiting the exhaust......

Anyone know how to check the oil pump pin? WOuld like to be up and running again for this weekend!

Well, I don't think it is the oil return pump. Line gets warm from the turbo headed back to the pump.

So..... I had a little dripped oil out of the muffler to turbo elbo in the exhaust......

Anyone want to take a stab at helping me? Would like to know I have it figured out before heading back up the hill.

Well, guess I found the issue. Looks like my Roll-over valve stuck closed. I found it stuck open after getting it into my garage and testing it, but it was likely stuck closed when the oil was getting burned.

Created enough pressure to force the oil past the turbo ring seals. Then oil was passing into the exhaust.

So, all fixed!
