OK so obviously a chunck of ice ripped the cable out. I got a new one installed but seems to me it will happen again?
1.Any mods to help with this?
2. Looks to be no cable ties used? Anyone tried cable ties?

Talk to your local dealer; there's a bulletin from Yamaha about how to cable tie and tape it to reduce the chance of it happening again. Stupid place to put wires!!!!!!!!!

Are you talking about a GT with electric shock or the manual adjuster on the side of the tunnel? The elctric GT cables need to be wire tied. The manual adjuster cable on the RA shocks do not.

Yes the manual adjust cable.
These must rip out all the time?

My original RA adjuster cable pulled out of the end the first season and was replaced under warranty. Haven't had any trouble with the replacement yet. There was a post on here to replace the plastic slider block that mounts on the skid over the cable with a longer one from another Yamaha sled which offers better protection. I installed it on mine and that may have helped. Part number is 8g8-47422-00-00 for about $10.00
