What the Differences between 2013 Nytro XTX 1.25" Ripsaw & 1.75 BackCountry track Sleds?
Any gearing differences? Sled Setup differeces at Factory or Dealer setup? I'm pulling the trigger on one or the other on Friday!
2013 Nytro XTX 1.75 BackCountry track Sled: tunnel heat exchanger, extrovert sprocket
2013 Nytro XTX 1.25" Ripsaw track sled: No tunnel heat exchanger, extrovert sprocket

If a 1.5" Camoplast CrossOver track was an option, It would be a no brainer!

That's what I have and I love it...you could always get the dealer to swap it out for you or do like my buddy and I did...do it yourself.

either way i think the backcountry is a awesome track and would get that one if i did a track swap again. i do mostly trail riding but i rode one with it on and it was awesome.

I voted for the backcountry, but really it all depends on where you live. If I was still living in Ontario a studded 1.25 track would be my first choice. Here on the east coast, a 1.75 makes way more sense. I've never been to Minn, but from what I've heard about your snow levels and trail system, a 1.25 probably makes more sense.

Like the guys have said, what type of riding are you going to do? Personally I would go with the 1.75" BackCountry! I put this track on my XTX last year, best mod ever!!! However, if you do not have lots of snow or open area to ride the 1.25 or even 1.5 might be the way to go.

Where do I ride==> Mostly Northern Minnesota & Wisconsin and the U.P. Michigan. I ride 80% trails and 20% off trail. So given this, Do I Buy a 2013 Nytro XTX 1.25" Ripsaw OR 1.75 BackCountry track Sled

Considering the amount of time you spend on trails I'd suggest a 1.25 and studs.Sledboy said:Where do I ride==> Mostly Northern Minnesota & Wisconsin and the U.P. Michigan. I ride 80% trails and 20% off trail. So given this, Do I Buy a 2013 Nytro XTX 1.25" Ripsaw OR 1.75 BackCountry track Sled

Sounds like 80% ripsaw's element and 20% backcountry. Seems like a no brainer to me if you are a trail rider buy a trail track. The 144" length is already overkill for trail riding, I think you'll be fine the 20% you are off.

Roy,
Sounds like we ride in many of the same places. The 1.25" Ripsaw has gotten me out of my share of trouble. I'm a 50/50 rider and I've been happy with the 1.25" track. My overall recommendation would be to find a new 2012 XTX. Several dealers still have them and you could pick one up for under $9,000.00 w/warranty. You would also get the GYTR adjustable front shocks instead of the non-adjustable HPG's.
Either way, Welcome to the Nytro family!

I love my 1.75" and have been on it for two years now. I ride 90% trail. The hookup is great and I can go just about anywhere. The one drawback is on low snow conditions, it likes to eat slides. I do not stud, but if I did, I would look for a 1.5" or slightly smaller. Overall, I am very happy with it. Both of my Nytros have this track.

What's the point of buying a long track if you're not going to get big lugs???? I have a ripsaw XTX and did a lot of off trail riding this year. While the 4-stroke power got me out of most situations, I still managed to plant the machine several times. If 80% of your riding is trail, have you thought about going with a 121?

Rock River Power Sports in Jefferson, WI has Blue or Black Brand new for $8,995.00. They have them posted on E-bay as well. Here is the link.

Heinens Motor Sports in Osseo, MN is where I bought my 2011 carry over last year for $9,700.00 with full warranty. Last year was tougher to find the deals because dealerships don't like to sell them out of season to save them selves a buck. With the crappy season we had this year, many dealerships will take what they can get to make a sale.
River Valley Power and Sport in Rochester, MN has a new Black one for $9,500.00

Actually Power Sports 1 out of Appleton, WI has the same $9,700.00 late year model deal that I picked up my 2011 for on a new 2012. I bet if someone offered them $10,000.00 out the door, they might just take it. HMMMMM? Here is the site for that one.... http://www.powersports1.com/pages/myinv ... =100031643 The deals are out there, you just gotta look. Good Luck!
