I would recommend a block off plate in the tunnel. It's a cheap, but helpful add on. I used a $12 sheet of 12"x24" aluminum from Menards and cut out the slot for the exhaust. OFT also has a version that they sell for $100 that's pre fabricated. This keeps the snow from building ice in the tunnel which is mostly to keep the weight off.

FYI: If you decide to go the aftermarket exhaust route, just keep in mind that a fuel controller and clutching or gearing will be required as well. That equals BIG $$$. I'm sure you'll love the Nytro!

Mine will have the in tunnel heat exchanger, so I'm not sure if that will alleviate the tunnel ice build-up. I may wait and see on this unless the nitro MTX with tunnel heat exchangers are having icing issues too. Does anyone know. If I still need the tunnel plate in would rather install it b4 first snow.
