Anyone using a different color sunshield than what came with the BV2S? I have the yellow one that came with it but am thinking of getting a smoke one. My riding in the UP we can go from clear sky's and sun to cloudy and snow in a few hours. Obviously carrying 2 sun shileds isn't practical so the question is am I better off sticking w/ the yellow shield for all conditions or trying to trying to read the weather in the morning and select the smoke or yellow for the day?

One thing about the amber shield, it brings out the details in the trail/snowy or foggy conditions, a smoked shield I dont think will do that.

Out on the snow try looking around with blue blocker type sunglasses, then a smoked color pair and I think you will see what I mean.

I use the smoke shield. I like it. Beats the hassle of having to stop the sled, remove the gloves, and dig around in the jacket pockets for the sunglasses all the time.
I never saw much use for the orange thing it came with. Maybe it's just my eyes, but it didn't seem to do anything for me but make the scenery look funny, regardless of the conditions.

I kind of felt the same way about the orange shield. The reason I got the BV2S was for the built in sun glasses! I have a blue shield on mine and use it on sunny days. It is great to be able to flip it back up when going into the shaded woods ar as it gets darker without having to stop.

I really like the Orange shield in my BV2S. I think it really helps bring out the definition in different light conditions and see the bumps better. I believe this is very similar to the glasses they sell to golfers so you can see contours on the green. It's never been so bright that I felt like I needed sunglasses with the orange shield.

I agree. Amber lens helps define the terain. Gets you reasy for those spine tingeling G-Bumps.

I changed to the grey one......the yellow one made me squint to much while riding and i didnt want the hassle of wearing sunglasses.
