- Sidewinder LTX-LE 2018
I have a Sidewinder LTX LE with the 137 track coming this fall. The stock track is a 1.25 inch lug. 1.25 can't be long enough for 200h.p. I am trying to decide whether to stud it or swap for an aftermarket Camoplast. I think there is a 1.6 lug with studs inserted in the lugs. Looking for recommendations and experience with aftermarket tracks. Not sure if there has been previous threads on this subject. Any insights would be appreciated. Also putting Curve skis on it to replace the Tuner IIIs. Also wondering what wear bars to use in combination with what aftermarket track. Hopefully it won't take forever and a basket of cash to get the right combination.

Personally, I'd keep the stock track and stud it up good!! If you want real hook up...you have to stud imo. Nothing wrong with a pre studded track, but if you want real hook up/aggressive hook up, stud the 1.25 inch lug stock track instead.
I have a 129 RTX coming in the fall, and I'm going to stud mine. Probably 192 of them.

I am leaning toward a 1.5 Ripsaw on my 129. Camo rep talked me out of a 1.6 Cobra for my turbo Viper for hard pack trail use. I would rather have the lug height to move snow on loose trails but still need some studs for icy hills and corners. I don't lake race

If you are a trail rider / a bit of messing around the field , the 1.6 pre stud will be nice. If your interested in hard bite and dragging your buddy on his doo, stud the hell out of the 1.25.
I stuffed my 1.25 with 144 down the middle. It's nice for trail safety on ice but not enough bite for hooking the ice on the lake.

I have a 2018 LTX LE on order and will swap for a 1.6 Ice Cobra. I had a few members reply to this thread below. I ride eastern UP trails and my brother has a SW XTX 141 with a 1.6 (no studs). It worked well on both the trail and off trail. Most of the time on weekends, trails get beat up and the extra paddle is nice.
