Just curious, how much top end would be lost with the 1.7" SNO X track versus a 1.25" RipSaw II generally speaking? I'm really on the fence between the two R-TX LE's because of this. I'd also imagine not having to stud the SNO X track due to the massive amount of bite it would already have with the 1.7" lugs. With the RipSaw II, I would stud it with 135 Top Gun SP's. Thoughts/comments?

I'm wondering the same thing... I ride 80% trails 20 off and run a studded track now, how does the Sno x track do on trail? Can we stud it ?

I'm sure at least 5 or more mph! I wouldn't think you would want to get this track and put studs on it. 1.25 and then stud it. 1.7 no studs. Should be a fun track. Total ditch banging sled!

Just put a 144x1-1/2 on a 121 phaser for my son and notice maybe 5mph. But wow is it worth it.

I lost 5 MPH top end on my Apex going from the 1.25 Ripsaw to a 1.352 Cobra.

u do realize the only part of the cobra that is taller than a 1.25" ripsaw is the tiny moulded in nubs that look like they could be a stud but aren't don't u? Should not loose speed with that track.

we had nytro with cobra and the track was awesome no loss at top speed

I don't know how much I lost putting a 1.6 lug on my LTX SE but I don't care either it's worth it! The take of is awesome! And it will go through a lot more!

Shouldn't the Viper have a Cobra track stock from the factory? I mean C'mon, Viper/Cobra, seems like a no brainer to me... :)

My dealer said it may make the sled vibrate if riding on hard packed trails, what do you guys think? He also said you will lose around five mph off the top speed.

I'd be concerned about what you would give up cornering in the trails on a hard pack and faster hy-fax wear. In the powder it would kick butt

The ripsawII is a awesome track. Plenty of hook for me.

I have noticed hyfax wear, that's why I put the 6 extra wheels in my skid for. Now no wear! Have a set of duponts, but I'll wait for next year to change them.
